Yesterday SAP hosted the SME Summit in New York City. The event kicked off with a roundtable featuring SAP Co-CEO Bill McDermott, Kevin Gilroy, Senior Vice President of Global Indirect Channels, Jorge Silva-Purras, Regional Administrator for the New York and New Jersey region and many others.
The hour and a half session was just part one of the day, but really set the stage. It highlighted the top concerns small businesses have, like access to the right talent, managing growth, and access to a business network; but also how technology can spur profitable growth for a SME.
Once such technology is Cloud Computing. Cloud makes access to all these things easier. It gives small businesses the ability to spend more time on creating and growing their products and business, not just running it.
